Hi to all. I am an 1980's amateur returning to the hobby after a long absence.
Have set up a station with a Icom ic-7400 and Hustler 6BTV for hf and Diamond v2000 for 6m and 2m.
Being keen to indulge in some home-brew antenna projects I reckoned I could make use of an antenna analyser at the outset, instead of struggling and wishing later that I had bought one earlier, (if you see what I mean). I will also look to use the analyser to 'fine tune' the Hustler once I've learnt the basics of operation.
A bit of research led me to the AIM-4170 as being the dog's danglies over some of the others and is available at a sensible price. So today I have placed my order with an English company who import them from the States.
I have no previous experience of using analysers, so will be asking some questions along the way to help me get the most from my purchase.
Thanks in advance for all the expert help I hope to receive from this forum.
Alan

I just bought mine from there -- 8 days from placing the order to receiving the analyzer. Not bad in the middle of the Christmas rush. When comparing prices with other distributors, note that Broadcast Warehouse includes a UK 230v power supply wall wart and a USB serial cable in the price. Also included was a bag of gourmet jelly beans, so that you wouldn't forget Broadcast Warehouse! I've only played with the unit so far -- now I know why my G5RV doesn't work New Year's greetings to everyone. -- 73 Ian, G3NRW
