Hi all, I have just purchased an AIM 4170B having read the manual i cannot find any referance to what the SYNC output is for on the rear of the AIM, Please help

When a scan begins, a sync pulse is output. This can be used to trigger a scope or other external hardware to sync it with the AIM scan. This is a 3V pulse. It can be used to trigger a cmos IC (but not TTL). There is a 10K ohm resistor in series with the signal line.
