Hello, We'll be interested in seeing your antenna scans. You can upload pictures (screen shots or photos) to any website and post the link here. Most internet providers include space for a personal website with enough space for a lot of pictures. Also pictures can be saved at photo album sites like: www.myphotoalbum.com/When saving screen shots, gif format is better than jpg. For sharing the technical details of your antenna or help with troubleshooting, the .scn file saved with the "File -> Save Graph" function is very compact and can be emailed. This makes it possible for someone to see the actual numeric values of the parameters by using the cursor. Note, the graph (.scn) files can be viewed in "demo" mode even when the AIM hardware is not present. -- 73/Bob

Hello again. Thanks for the info Bob, on up loading images, I can now hopefully continue my story. So, as I was saying (Now that I have mastered the technology) I have done a sweep of my home made vertical for 40mtrs and 20mtrs. The first scan can be found here; www.zen71988.zen.co.uk/Aim4170/40mtr-sweep-before-adjust.jpgAs you can see it's a little off, resonant just below 7.00MHz. After several trips in and out I did a second sweep here; www.zen71988.zen.co.uk/Aim4170/40mtr-sweep-after-adjust.jpgI was aiming for about 7.050MHz but as you can see 7.068MHz is FANTASTIC My intention is to get the 20mtr band working next but due to UN seasonal storm conditions I have had to stop play for now. When I get chance to go out again I will post the 20mtr scan. This product is fantastic, I dithered about buying it but now I have I am very happy.

This looks good. Speaking of making trips in and out between adjustments, there is a new beta version of the program that "speaks" the swr. You can put the AIM in "tune" mode, and use a couple of phones to relay the swr reading outside while you're making adjustments. For example, you can set the tune freq to 7.05 and then make adjustments to the antenna while listening to the swr value. www.w5big.com/AIM_656A.zip --73/Bob

Hi OK, thanks for that. It should come in very handy when I am next messing around. I will give it a whirl.
