I'm thankful I have the Power AIM120. I'm deeply saddened that it has come to this.
I've been told that Bob has retired. I don't know if there was enough demand for these instruments for Array Solutions to continue them. I talked to them about 3 or 4 months ago. I was told that if there was enough interest and committment to purchase, that they might reconsider their decision. I was on the verge of purchasing a PA150.
It would be nice for Bob to chime in on this.

Barry, If you are into homebrewing/ constructing your own VNA, take a look at this link www.arrl.org/files/file/QST%2520Binaries/ Look under November 2006 -Clunn1106.zip You will find all the schematics, circuit board files along with programming code necessary to build your own AIM-430. I've done it and had good luck with it. However, it requires a steady hand, magnifying glasses and patience. Cost was around $200 out of pocket for it all. |
