Hi everyone, Just letting you know Array Solutions unfortunately has decided to discontinue the AIMUHF as well as the power aim products. They still appear in QST but the website shows them as discontinued. This was a great tool at a great price point, very disappointing. For me the AIMUHF is one of the most useful tools I have. Does that mean they can no longer be obtained - anywhere???!!! I have been contemplating buying a Power AIM-150. I have a AIM-120 and would like the additional interference immunity. Hopefully Bob will chime in on this.

Yes, according to the website they are no longer available, apparently Array Solutions made a business decision To discontinue manufacture of the AIMUHF, Poweraim 120 and 150. I have looked for used ones but none are available. This is one of the most useful tools I have come across. I have a VNAUHF which will do similar analysis but does not graph capacitance or inductance like the AIMUHF does. There is the Aim 4300 but only goes to 300 mhz. Hopefully someday popular demand will bring it back. Anyone feeling the same way may want to email Jay at Array Solutions.

Interesting... they still show them as being available in my April QST. Maybe it's their 8dea of an Apri 1st.joke.

I'm looking into the possibility of buying either a VNA2180, or UHF 2-Port VNA.
I had an interesting conversation with Jim at Array Solutions. He told me that the reason for the Power AIM and 2 Port VNA's being discontinued is because Bob, W5BIG has retired. I'm sorry to hear that as I always enjoyed my conversations with Bob. Hopefully he will drop in once in awhile and say hello.
Looking at the various instruments available on eBay and other places on the Internet, the loss of the Power AIM and other Array Solutions 2-Port is a real loss, not only to the Amateur Radio Community, but to Broadcast and other related professionals. I was also told there will probably be no more updates on AIM instruments software.
Jim did tell me that there had been a few inquiries about the discontinued products and if there was enough interest (commitments to buy) they would consider bringing them back.
So, if you have a sincere interest in these instruments please let Jim at Array Solutions know about it. Please pass the word on.

Looks like in November 2019 that the Power Aim 150 is available for rental from Array Solutions. $250 per week. Also Kintronic Labs may still have them for sale? They may a small inventory as they did when the Power Aim 120 first came out. After that who knows. I guess this makes the Power Aim 120 I already have more valuable. It will also be interesting to see if Array Solutions minus Bob will service these. Phil Harris WB2IQG

I just received my June 2020 issue of QST and to my pleasant surprise Array Solutions once again has all of the AIM series of VNA's listed. This includes the Power AIM-150.

Hi Burt, A check of array solutions website says they are taking pre orders of the aim4300. It looks like the VNAUHF may be available but the 4300 is almost twice the price. Not sure what is going on but good to see it might be coming back

Hello...before AIMUHF I've used the MFJ-259B and its total garbage, its switches went irregular not long after I got it and numerous companions experience experienced issues with comparable MFJ items. I do a great deal of radio wire work and purchased a Comet CAA-500 a couple of years back and have been totally excited with it. One thing that influenced me towards the comet is the constant inclusion and I play a ton with 225-400Mhz radio wires, which different analyzers don't cover.
