Bob,
Does the coax loss impact the results of a TDR measurement with an AIM?
If so, what does it effect, length/location or impedance? How significant?
Since the user does not input a coax type or any loss info, how do you handle this?
A happy 4170D owner!

Hi Ray, The AIM TDR is very handy for determining the cable imperfections which may be a function of distance. A common problem is aged cable or water ingress. Also damaged cables due to animals or digging can be analyzed to find the point of damage and reduce the time to repair.
