New guy on the block first time posting here with a couple of quick questions on the VNA2180. Is it possible to select a frequency range say between 445Khz and 465Khz, then have the VNA sweep that range continuously? I was hoping to try and sweep a receivers I.F. to adjust its filter curves or I'm I think too far outside the box? So far I haven't seen a way to download and view the 2180 manual before I purchase the unit are there any download links to view a manual?
Thanks Dave

Hi Dave, The VNA2180 can be run in Recycle mode and it will sweep the specified range. The RF signal is turned on and off while sweeping, so the transient response of the IF will affect the appearance of the output signal. To adjust the IF, I like to use a noise generator on the receiver input and then use the Spectrogram program to monitor the receiver audio output. You can get Spectrogram on my website and there are app notes about using it on the Elecraft website. The manual for the VNA is bundled with the program in the zip file: www.w5big.com/VNA_546B.zipYou can run the VNA program in the demo mode with the sample scan files to get a feel for the graphic user interface. --73/Bob
