For some reason I cannot use the new 530A software. When I start the program, it asks to run the calibration but when I get to the first step with the short applied a window pops up saying 'Temperature not read' and 'No data from VNA. Check VNA power and comm cable'. I can go back to version 525B and all works fine.

This is strange. In the folder with the exe file there is a file called versionxxxx.txt (xxxx is the serial number of your VNA). If you will send me this file, I'll check the firmware options.

Thank you for looking at the problem I am having. I have emailed you a copy of the version file.
I really appreciate all of the program updates you have been making in the software recently. The new TDR function is super! Buying the VNA 2180 has been one of my best investments. I have been using it a lot lately. 73, Denley

I'm sorry for the mix-up. The problem with 530A was a flag that was not being tested properly. That has been fixed with version 530C: www.w5big.com/VNA_530C.zipThis doesn't affect all VNA's, so if you are using 530A successfully, you don't need to change to 530C. --73/Bob
