I have recently joined the group of satisfied owners and users of AIM4170. It is of great help with my current antenna projects (sp2wdw.blogspot.com) even though it will probably be used much more extensively in the future, when I have some reasonable space for antennas.
I would like to suggest that the scale for SWR readings be aligned so that it always starts at the value of 1, instead of 0.
At present I use the SWR dotted reference line for visual indication of SWR=1, which is not the ideal solution. It is not always apparent where the ordinate corresponding to SWR=1 lies on the graph (try setting SWR scale value to 3 as in the example here picasaweb.google.com/sp2wdw/Antennas/photo#5098680020751713810
I have found the aural indication of SWR extremely useful during antenna tuning!
