TDR function would sure be a great tool for many of us VNA 2180 owners. In my particular place, the power feedline is 2.4kv running through a special design RG213 coax with extra mechanical protection; it runs over one mile long up this 1000' hill and sits on the rock up to my shack. In winter it lays under 6 or more feet of snow through the trees. A failure of that "artery" would spell disaster (worse in winter!!) till i could locate the problem. I already experienced a gnawed aluminum flex protection right after installing it; had to rerun a steel flex over that mile long "artery". Was real fun! Finding the troubled spot was not that bad, since the cable had not yet been covered by rocks, debris, trees, vegetation, etc.
Now 6 years later, i can hardly find the cable in mid summer. Was waiting to buy a TDR, or yet build one; i know not having one, i'm pushing my luck and will have to make a move soon.
Bob, any hope for a future addition to this jewel? Possible time frame? Or we just forget it and buy a half VNA2180 = AIM 4170? TKS.

The VNA program will be updated with the TDR function in a few weeks.

Wow!, thanks Bob. Just made my day and saved me from hunting for bargain and maybe less than expected TDR. The VNA2180 been such a jewel to phase my 5-80m delta loops and i got quite familiar with its use. Now the TDR feature will make it even more priceless.
