I am using the AIM 4170 and Version 832G. Under setup, I can't get "Enter Zo Ref" or "Smoothing" to work.

Hi Tom, What happens when you try to enter these parameters? Can you send me screen shots?

Bob, The functions do not work. If I click on the menu items nothing happens.

Can you calibrate and do a regular scan? If the AIM is in the demo mode, those functions don't do anything. 73/Bob

Hi Tom, I think I found the problem. It will be fixed in version 832J. I'll upload that in a couple of days.
Time now for late breaking ideas for new features....

Time now for late breaking ideas for new features....73/Bob Did you ever commnet if the TDR function was possible with the 4170? Someone said "I believe TDRs use pulse technology and not swept RF so I guess it is wishful thinking." Does this rule out TRR for the 4170? Thanks again for a GREAT product, but boy would TDR be sometning Ken

Hi Ken, I'm sorry I don't have time to do the TDR function from scratch. If someone wants to write a routine, like a dll, for this I'll take a look at incorporating it in the program.

Thank you for the response Bob - as everyone knows my the simple level of my questions writing such a routine is waaay beyond my ability - I sure wish I could do it, as it sounds like the AIM4170 has the ability, if the correct routine were written?
Thank you again - perhaps one of these days someone will come thru.
