I recently lost the hard disk on the laptop I used with my analyzer, an old AIM430, When I tried the newest versions 565 and 600 they would not recognize the analyzer. I loaded the old version that came with the analyzer, ;D it worked fine. I loaded the oldest version posted 551c and it recognized the box and asked for calibration. Then I calibrated to 565 and then 600 and it worked fine. Seems there is something needed in the cal file for the software to work on a AIM430.
I use a Thinkpad 240 400mhz which is about the smallest laptop which has a keyboard which allows touchtype. Less than 3 lb about 8X10x1 inches. It has 800x400 without scrolling with the mouse and 1040x768 with scrolling. The new version works fine at both resolutions, Thank you Bob.
To those wanting to use an old slow laptop I ran the software on a HP2000 133mhz and HP 5700 166mhz with no problems.
