I've posted this explanation in case others run into the same problem I did with accessing this forum.
I had endless problems trying to register and then, once registered, to log in and then, once logged in, to post a message.
It all came down to cookies.
I routinely deny the setting of cookies. In most cases, when a site wants to set a cookie I get a little box that pops up asking what I want to do about it, including accepting or denying cookies from the site in the future without being asked. If it turns out that a particular site can't be accessed without accepting cookies I then decide whether I can live without the site. Usually I can, but not in this case.
The problem here was that, for whatever reason, I never got the cookie pop-up so never had the opportunity to accept or deny.
I finally was able to get registered by turning off cookie control (I use BitDefender), registering, and then turning it on again.
OK, I'm registered. Why can't I log in?
I'm a little slow at this computer stuff so it took a while for me to realize that I had to accept cookies to log in so I laboriously went through the turn off the cookie control again, logged in and then turned it on again.
You've probably already guessed what happened when I tried to post my Antenna Forms question.
After some digging around in BitDefender (and I'm sure other programs can do the same thing) I found a way to enter a domain name (whatever that is) and always accept cookies for that domain. Took a few tries to figure out that the domain name is proboards24.com Now everything works just fine.
It would have saved me a bunch of time if proboards had told me that I have to accept cookies. I looked for a means of e-mailing them but didn't find an address. Maybe the moderator of this board could pass the message along.
