I'm attempting to write a C# program to control the AIM 4170D. I have a pre-existing program this will eventually integrate with, but for now I'm just writing a small test program to determine functionality. I can access the device and send commands from the AIM_882 executable, so I know the device itself is working as well as connected to the computer via USB. As for the code itself, I can access the dll with dllimport, but am having trouble specifically with the AIM_GetVersion function. When the device is off, it will properly return the string "34506". When the device is on, however, Visual C# 2010 gives me the error "AccessViolationException was unhandled: Attempted to read or write protected memory. This is often an indication that other memory is corrupt."
So, I know I'm calling the dll and accessing the proper function due to the 34506 error I recieve when the device is off. When its on, however... I'm not sure what could be happening. So, if anyone has any experience with this, suggestions or feedback, the assistance would be appreciated. Thank you for your time.
