I ran into something I believe is a problem. When you startup AIM it displays the last scan, even if it wasn't saved to a file. If you then do a swap file command, it seems to work by getting the last file, but then if you swap again it toggles back to the original trace but the file name of the previous file is displayed, or junk is displayed sometimes. I also had trouble saving the file once. It was when I left the extension off, expecting that it would add the appropriate extension. I haven't had time to try reproduce everything very well, but thought you might be able to find it from this description in time for the next release. Yes, the last scan is saved automatically when you exit the program. The file name display when swapping back and forth is very confusing, I'll fix that for the next release. You don't have to enter the extension when saving a file, it will automatically assign *.scn to it. 73/ Bob

When the limits dialog box is opened, it would be very handy to have the "step size" displayed in the same units it was inputted in. For example, if I enter 1%, then it would be a huge help to keep that displayed as 1% instead of absolute freq step size. This would make it easy to change the range, but still have the same percentage of that range number of points collected. As it is, I lose track easily of what I have input there. I hope I'm making this clear... Also, If one specifies a stepsize, or percent that results in too many steps, then the software might just adjust it to MAXSTEP to force a legal value, as it already does with the freq limits. For freq limits, that auto-adjust does not work for freq if a custom cal is done. It takes trial and error to figure out just what the limits were for that particular calibration file. That would be a handy feature for all fields.
Thanks, Del

When doing a custom cal, sometimes when it finishes the RED led is left on, sometimes not. Click the HALT button turns off the led. If the led is left on and you don't click HALT, the analyzer is left in a strange state, and scans don't always work correctly until you re-power the unit. 73 Del
