Hi -
Is there any quick way of measuring the Q and frequency response og traps with an AIM4170, for example on a 160, 80 and 40m wire antenna?
thanks

The AIM can measure the traps very well. Disconnect the traps from the antenna and use short leads ( 3 or 4 inches) to clip on the contact points. These leads can have gator clips which makes them easy to calibrate by putting the short circuit (piece of wire) and the standard resistor (with wire leads) right at the point where the trap will be connected.
You can use the standard cal or custom cal procedure. There is a Q measurement function under the "Function" menu.
