I have Just received my AMI UHF and just starting to learn how to use it, however during one of the first few test I got a low voltage error telling me it was around 8 volts and at 6 volts inside the box. I'm using your supplied power supply from Jaeco and test the out put at 13 volts but the power supply tag rate it transformer at 9 volts 500 ma. I understand your box can work on voltage from 9 to 15 vdc so I was wondering what is generating the error on. This is unit # 6501, please advise me to the next step.
best regards Dennis

Hi Dennis,
The voltage is read at the end of scan, after the AIM has been drawing current for a while. It's possible the power supply has droop. Look at the DC voltage with a scope to see if it has droop or ripple. Try another power supply with a good solid 10V to 13V output to see if the original power supply might be marginal. --73/Bob

Thanks Bob,
I switched it out with a 12dcv @ 2 amps - seams to work better - so I need to replace the wall wart.

I too had a low voltage error today. I used a 12VDC 1000ma wall wart and that seems to work.
