Hi Everyone! I have a VNA2180 that I cannot get to respond to the software. I'm using program version 542 and I've tried it on 3 different computers (2 Win7 Pros and 1 XP) with the same result. When I plug the 2180 into the computer I see the comm port created in the device manager, but the software always says the 2180 is not responding and stays in DEMO mode??? I have the VNA software comm port set to the same port that gets setup on the computer. Anybody have any ideas what I'm doing wrong? Many Thanks for your time! Terry - WW5TT

Hi Terry,
I have the same problem with an AIMUHF, except that I have one of 3 computers which work with it. I was able to trace the problem to an "optional" FTDI device driver, NOT the standard port driver. Removing it would pretty much require reloading Windows, so I just live with it. Hope you find a solution.

Terry, Did you ever solve your problem? I finally found another computer which works, a truly ancient IBM Thinkpad, as well as two more computers, one a tablet, with which it does not work. Driving me nuts, though my friends all agree that is really a short put. 73s, Alan WA4SCA
